What We Offer
At Healthy Indulgence, we offer many different tests and services to suit your unique health and nutritional needs.
Please call to book an appointment or to discuss the best options for you. Sarah can also work with clients remotely, through phone and video calls.
Food Sensitivity Testing
Many people suffer from food sensitivities which can cause a range of symptoms such as bloating, IBS, skin conditions, reflux, migraines, depression, anxiety and more. We offer several different tests which all involve taking a small amount of blood from the fingertip. This is then analysed for IgG antibodies. Unlike immediate allergic reactions, IgG food sensitivities - a type of immune response - can cause delayed symptoms that appear hours or even days after consuming a problem food.
The 50+ foods test is processed in our clinic, with rapid results seen within 40 minutes. With the larger, more sensitive tests, the blood sample is sent to a lab for analysis and detailed results are returned within a few days. Whichever test you decide is the right one for you, Sarah will discuss your results in depth, and offer advice on how to eliminate the foods from your diet (recommended for a minimum of 3 months). Sarah, and the friendly staff at HI, are available to guide you through the process and answer any questions you may have.
(Click on ‘+’ next to the different test options to see a list of which foods are tested.)
Gut Microbiome Testing
The gut microbiome is the ecosystem of trillions of microorganisms (bacteria, fungi etc..) that live in your body. If you have a dysregulated microbiome, it can influence your immune system, mood, sleep, hormones, digestion, libido, and mental health.
With our comprehensive test (stool sample), you’ll discover your types and amounts of friendly & unfriendly bacteria, find out if you have leaky gut, yeasts or parasites, check your immune response, and see how well your digestion works. Sarah’s review of the results will include suggestions of how to improve your gut for optimum health.

Nutrition, Health & Lifestyle Consultation
A full consultation involves a comprehensive discussion about your health (up to an hour and a half). Sarah will look in-depth at your medical history, diet (including supplements), and lifestyle, and suggest recommendations for changes to improve your overall health and wellbeing. It can be helpful to bring any recent blood test results and a list of current medications. A week's food diary may also be useful.
Sarah works holistically by considering the whole person rather than just the symptoms. Her ethos is to treat clients as unique individuals – every person is different and needs tailored advice. She works with clients on the Isle of Wight, UK and internationally who have issues with ME/chronic fatigue, thyroid, IBS & IBD, high cholesterol, skin conditions, Type 2 diabetes, weight, menopause and many more.

HPA Axis and Stress Function (Cortisol) Testing
Chronic stress can lead to symptoms like constant fatigue, sleep problems, mood swings, and even weight gain. The HPA (Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Adrenal) axis is a communication pathway between your brain and your adrenal glands that helps regulate your stress response. When you face stress, the hypothalamus signals the pituitary gland, which tells your adrenal glands to release cortisol. This helps your body deal with stress, but too much stress over time can lead to imbalances. We offer a saliva test to see how well your HPA Axis is functioning, and Sarah will discuss how to help you support and manage your stress with some simple lifestyle changes.
